The core activity of the HRD and Documentation Division is to ensure that health workers, post-graduate medical students, and paramedical staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge required. All NTEP training activities at NTI are organized in coordination with the HRD unit at Central Tuberculosis Division (CTD).
The laboratory division is assessed and certified as an NABL Accredited laboratory in 2021. It provides hands on trainings to microbiologists and laboratory technologists. As it is a WHO collaboration centre, laboratory conducts trainings or workshops activities for national and international participants time to time.
The Epidemiology Division of NTI has been consistently engaged in TB-related activities, including burden estimation, risk factor analysis, identifying programme implementation challenges and transmission studies.
The Monitoring & Evaluation Division (erstwhile Statistical Section) of the Institute plays an essential role and forms a supportive unit for the research activities. NTI participates in central Internal Evaluation to assess the implementation of the NTEP. Also, the institute has been identified as the nodal body to advocate the establishment of State TB Training and Demonstration Centres as per norms and provide the technical guidance for strengthening the already established ones
Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization Division
The Advocacy Communication and Social Mobilization Division was established at NTI on 24th March 2003. The Division plays a key role in sensitizing the nursing, paramedical, life sciences and medical students on TB and NTEP.
The Administration Division caters to all the administrative requirements of the Institute. The five units under this Division are Establishment, Accounts, Hostel, Stores, and Transport Units. The unit caters to the administrative matters, general upkeep of campus through CPWD, provision of contractual manpower to various divisions and service matters pertaining to the staff viz.
